在近原子尺度上操縱物質以產生新的結構、材料和設備。該技術有望在許多領域取得科學進步,例如醫藥、消費品、能源、材料和製造。

核醫材料可用於診斷和治療疾病,透過核醫程序加載放射性藥物之核醫材料可治療包括甲狀腺功能亢進症、癌症、淋巴瘤等常見人類疾病。 - 生物醫學影像檢測
醫療行業中生物成像的示例包括X射線(X-ray)與超音波(ultrasound)圖譜、磁共振造影(Magnetic Resonance Imaging, MRI)、3D與4D生物光學圖像(Optical Imaging, OI)、電腦斷層掃描(Computed Tomography, CT)與正電子放射斷層攝影(Positron Emission Tomography, PET)等。 - 生醫材料應用
泛指具有生物相容性而可被應用於活體的天然或人工合成材料,依材料性質可分為金屬、陶瓷、高分子有機聚合體以及複合性材料等四類。本實驗室主要研究目標即開發新穎生醫材料應用於癌症早期診斷與治療、腦神經科學研究及探討材料之生物累積與潛在毒性。
